As Essentia’s Vice President of Engineering, Jeff focuses on building an elite team and securing top-tier clients in the always-evolving, cable MSO landscape.

As part of Jeff’s responsibilities, he recruits skilled engineers and designers to navigate the advancements in Fiber to The Home (ome ((FTTH) and DOCSIS 4.0.

Jeff sees tremendous opportunity for cable MSOs to adopt Essentia’s innovative eSpeed platform as an advanced solution to streamline project management, enhance collaboration and provide a competitive edge.

In Jeff’s extensive, 28-year career as an engineering leader, he’s consistently driven growth, profitability, and operational excellence within the Telecoms industry.

His technical expertise shines in fiber optic and HFC design, network architecture, and client support.

Highlights include his role as Vice President of Engineering at Telecon Design Inc.,  where he is credited for achieving strategic expansion, tripling the size of the U.S. team, securing new clients, and expanding regional influence on a national level.

During his seven-year stint at the firm, he played a pivotal role in achieving a 22% revenue increase in the U.S. market, the expansion of the Canadian team, and the development of the fiber optic and HFC network design.

As an owner/partner at HFC Solutions LLC & Tritech Solutions Inc., Jeff successfully managed projects and championed GIS and quality assurance. Earlier in his career as the Design Department Manager at TVS Systems Inc., he built, trained, and managed design teams for high-profile, nationwide projects while incorporating MSO proprietary OSP-FM/GIS standards and software.

His journey began as a Design/Drafter at TVS Systems Inc., where he mastered industry-specific and proprietary software for detailed MDU project design.

Jeff earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix in 1999. He also pursued pre-Engineering undergraduate courses at the University of Utah from 1990 to 1997. Additionally, Jeff became Cisco Certified CCNA in Information Technology in 2008.

Jeff volunteers as a personal fitness counselor with the Boys Scouts of America.
